The Culture of Babel

Atlantis is a country that, for all we know, has never existed; but one could read about it through Plato and have an understand about it, creating an allegory of a country, an idea in our minds, something that exists and does not exist. Every country is in a different way also real and unreal, as they are defined by individual beliefs. We could hardly agree on what every country is, in borders, culture and history, yet this collective belief forms a collective delusion that some imaginary things are real and some are not. The truth is that your understanding of "what your own country is" may differ significantly to that of your next-door neighbour or friend. For some, a country is a great country, for some it's hopeless, for some it's their national identity, for some it's their religion, for some it's their culture and so on. It is what the subject who defines the object in question.

Every country is imaginary and Babel is just like any other country. It has its national symbols, a language, a history and cultural artifacts. Babeliro has a culture too. Of course, it is an imaginary culture, like any other culture, but this culture has been imagined using logical thinking, not legacy. Instead of letting the culture being drawn by democracy it draws a culture which aims to be purposed, not ideal, as a supplement to collective culture. Indeed, Babel has no rules like those in other countries. It only encourages thinking.
